Meir Ariel, retired from the IDF in 1993 as a Lieutenant Colonel after graduating from the Military Academy and serving as a battalion commander; served in the military reserves as the Golani Brigade’s Chief of Staff; managed a construction firm; joined A. Barak Security and lead it since 2007; co-founded Bazelet, first as a department of A. Barak and later as an independent firm fully dedicated to medical cannabis.
Prof. Aharon (Ari) Eyal is a retired Professor of Applied Chemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; author of 80 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters; was involved in more than 300 industrial projects in about 70 firms worldwide, including multinational, multi-billion dollar companies (20 years with the agri-giant Cargill, >$100 Billion); inventor of more than 200 patent families and patent applications; founded several startup companies.
Itai received his law degree in the UK, and practiced law in Tel-Aviv. Itai entered the business sector, and managed real estate portfolios for international groups based in Israel. Since 2018, Itai has been focusing on setting up the foundations for Bazelet’s international presence, and is in charge of opening new markets for our products in every regulated territory.
Dr. Noa Raz holds a PhD in neuroscience from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She has authored about 30 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals; inventor of more than 15 patent families. Worked 10 years in the Neurology department at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical center, conducted multiple scientific projects in the fields of neuroscience and neurology, incorporating a multi-disciplinary approach to understand mechanism and repair in neurological diseases. Her work at Bazelet is directed to evaluate the therapeutic role of selected cannabinoid-terpenes formulations to treat specific medical conditions.
Iso earned her B.Pharm from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and MSc in molecular biology and human genetics from Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University. Iso is an experienced manager and head pharmacist in leading drugstore chain in Israel. She is specialized in management, training, customer care, sales and various aspects of pharmaceutical, cosmetics and retail business. At Bazelet, Iso is head of pharmaceutical division and product regulations and she is responsible for developing patient instruction methodology and continuing care protocols.
Amos Holds a bachelor's degree in economics and marketing from the University of Haifa and a master's degree in business administration and economics. Mr. Varnai has over 30 years of experience in management and in a variety of positions in the civil service.
PhD in microbiology and molecular biology from Ben-Gurion University, over 30 years of experience in microbiology, molecular biology and project management. Was head of Microbiology field in the Israeli ministry of health. Published professional articles in his field of expertise. Vast experience in the field of microbiology, molecular biology, gene engineering, biochemistry, protein purification, and drug discovery projects. Experienced in running analytical and microbiological laboratories.
Inna holds a master's degree with honors in chemistry from Chisinau University. Inna has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, successfully obtained DMFs approvals in EMA, FDA PMDA for about 12 new products. At Bazalat, Inna manages the analytical laboratory, leads the development and validation of new analytical methods according to the requirements of the medical cannabis unit at the Israeli Ministry of Health, and according to the needs of the company's R&D. In addition, Inna provides analytical and regulatory support for new projects.
Marina holds a bachelor's degree in life sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a master's degree in business administration. Marina has extensive experience in regulation and quality in the pharmaceutical industry, medical preparations and medical cannabis. Marina brings extensive experience and knowledge in the regulation of medicines and production processes according to the requirements and regulations of the GMP. At Bazalat, Marina is responsible for product registration and regulation for new products. In addition, she is responsible for releasing CQP batches and GMP quality management.
Elias holds a B.Sc biotechnology degree, and is a validation engineer specializing in pharmaceuticals and cell cultures. Elias has extensive experience in validation processes, mapping and monitoring in temperature controlled equipment, storage and transportation of cannabis under GMP/GDP conditions as well as process and system validation.
Shira holds a B.Sc degree in Biology and M.Sc. degree in Human Biology from the University of Haifa. Shira has extensive experience in quality in the pharmaceutical industry, medical cannabis and medical devices, in standards: GMP, GDP, IMC-GMP, IMC-GDP, ISO 13485.
